Climate Austria and Austrian

Austrian and its cooperation partner Climate Austria enable you, as a passenger travelling with Austrian, to make voluntary compensation for the CO₂ emissions produced on your flights. This is done by investing your voluntary contribution to climate protection projects, primarily in Austria and, upon request, also abroad.

• sees itself as a link between people who wish to make a contribution to environmental protection, and climate protection projects that can be supported by such contributions.

• is aware of its ecological responsibility, since emissions are unavoidable in air traffic;
• sees carbon offsetting as an opportunity to further supplement Austrian’s wide variety of technical and operational measures for environmental protection and fuel-saving;
• therefore wishes to support its passengers in their personal environmental protection efforts by facilitating the offsetting of their “individual” CO₂ emissions.
