"The Parliamentary Administration is trying to reduce its CO2 emissions by implementing the EMAS environmental management system and by renovating buildings in accordance with klimaaktiv gold. A large part of the CO2 emissions are caused by air travel. Climate Austria offers the possibility of offsetting these emissions through quality-assured Austrian climate protection projects. In this way, the Parliamentary Administration is meeting its goal of becoming a climate-neutral administration by 2040.

Investments and domestic and international climate protection projects.
From 2008 to 2023, environmentally mindful companies and individuals have avoided a total of 517,262 tons of CO2 in collaboration with Climate Austria. 206,687 tons were avoided by investments in one of the 367 projects in Austria and 310,575 tons in international projects.
